The banana “Netram Palam” is the most exclusive banana variety in Sri Lanka. The bananas are sold individually. The Netram Palam is said to have healing properties.
Taste & ripeness
The bananas really have to have black spots and very easily detach from the stem so that the fruit also develops its full aroma. The flesh is almost orange and tastes delicately sweet with the full aftertaste of wild banana aromas, which tend to blend in the background.
Cultivation
Very rare and only in the best locations under optimal conditions.
